Learn a Space Dance

Description

Join dance artist Joanna in learning an interpretive dance about the Earth. It is encouraged that the Elements of Dance video be watched prior to starting this dance.

Activity Notes

• Students will learn a movement phrase that interprets and expresses features of Earth. They will learn how to adapt the movements to create a complete dance. It incorporates different elements of dance, with focus on Space, Body, and Time.

Artist Notes

• Students are challenged to select a planet, interpret its features (size, temperature, composition, interesting facts) and create their own planet dance.
