The Storytelling Event
Mindfulness, Embodiment, and Drama > Literature
In this lesson, students discover the three elements of a storytelling event: the story, the teller, and the listener and how each is related to the other.
- Follow along and see if you can identify what the story is about, what message it contains, how well the storyteller does in conveying the important elements of the story (beginning, middle, and end) as well as the character arc (how the character changes because of the events of the story) and how engaged you are as the listener.
- Sharing stories is a powerful connector between teller and audience.
